Kendo is a fast paced and dynamic martial art practiced by millions of people in Japan and has a very fast growing international community. Kendo takes its traditions and culture from the age of the samurai however todays kendo is largely related to mastery of the self through rigorous and strict training. Kendo’s competitive component boasts world championships held every 3 years involving over 50 countries displaying the “sports” strongest athletic examples. Kendo can be experienced and practiced on multiple levels making it an excellent path of self discovery for everyone. Tesshin Dojo strives not only “how to do”, but also “how to be”.
